The journal has been published since 1950. Subject of the articles published in the journal includes occupational pathology, physical, chemical and biological harmfulness, toxicology as well as mutagenesis, health policy, healthcare management and organization and epidemiological studies. Polish is the main language of the journal, however, all scientific articles published in the journal have title, abstract, key words, tables and figures translated into English. Thanks to this, readers from all over the world have access to the published in it substantive contents. In order to obtain a more international nature of the journal, since 2012 in each issue, the whole text of one article was published in English (with Polish translation of the mentioned above parts), and since 2013 – two such articles have been published.
